My name is Maxim (she/her), and I am an illustrator. I was born in Tokyo in 1993 to a Mexican family I constantly miss. I have lived in many cities and have become fascinated with paper. I enjoy working with it the most because I like the materiality it offers storytelling, while also being light enough to bring with me wherever I go. I make collages and digital illustration.
I now live in between Mexico City and Haarlem, always surrounded by plants I take good care of. I have a Bachelors Degree in Communication (Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City) and a Communication Design MA (Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen).

He vivido en varios lados y me ha cautivado el papel por la materialidad que ofrece a las historias y por ser lo suficientemente liviano para llevar conmigo a todos lados. Hago collages e ilustración digital.
Ahora vivo entre la Ciudad de México y Haarlem, siempre rodeada de plantas que cuido muy bien. Tengo una licenciatura en Comunicación (Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México) y una maestría en Diseño de Comunicación (Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen).
